Ashveil is the only new character released in Honkai: Star Rail version 4.1, but he does not walk the Path of Elation like the previous new characters. Ashveil Kit in Honkai: Star Rail
Ashveil is a DPS character capable of marking a single enemy as “Bait” and unleashing high-frequency Folloq-Up ATKs. If the current “Bait” is eliminated by an enhanced Follow-Up ATK, Ashveil will seek a new “Bait” to continue the assault. Ashveil also increases allies’ CRIT DMG and reduces all enemies’ DEF.
Skill | Flog: Smite Evil

- Marks a single enemy as “Bait“ and deals Lightning DMG to them.
- If the target is already marked as “Bait“, deals Lightning DMG and recovers 1 Skill Point.
While “Bait” is on the battlefield, all enemies’ DEF is reduced. If there is no “Bait” on the field, Ashveil marks the enemy with the lowest HP as “Bait“.

Tips: You can tell which one is the “Bait” by the ominous purple-reddish aura surrounding them. Also the “Bait” icon right above their head.
Ultimate | Banquet: Insatiable Appetite

- Marks the designated enemy as “Bait“, dealing Lightning DMG to them.
- Immediately launches 1 instances of enhanced Talent’s Follow Up ATK against the “Bait“
- Ashveil gains 3 Charge.
If Ashveil has 4 or more “Gluttony” stacks, using Ultimate will consume 4 stacks to deal an instance of Lightning DMG. If the enemy with “Bait” is already dead, it will deal the rest of the damage to the next “Bait” so don’t worry about overkill damage.
Talent | Rancor: Enmity Reprisal

- Ashveil has an initial Charge of 2 and can hold up to a max of 3.
- After “Bait” gets attacked by other ally, Ashveil regenerates a fixed amount of 8 Energy, and consumes 1 Charge to launch a Follow-Up ATK against the “Bait“.
After launching the FuA, he will gain 2 stacks of Gluttony, which can stack up to 12.
Bonus Ability | Damnation Trail

- When Ashveil uses Skill, gains 1 stack of “Gluttony“.
- When he uses Ultimate, gains 2 stack of “Gluttony“.
- During Ashveil’s FuA, for every enemy suffer a killing blow, Ashveil gains 1 stack of “Gluttony“.
Ashveil TLDR & Showcase
Ashveil’s whole kit is simple. Once he decides who to be the “Bait” (or you can manually choose the Bait via Skill and Ultimate), let all your allies to attack the “Bait” so Ashveil can gain Energy and consume a Charge to launch a FuA.
Once he has enough Energy to use Ultimate, use it to gain more Charge and repeat the process. That’s it. He can be played as the Main DPS or Sub-DPS to another Follow-Up ATK damage dealer like Feixiao.

Hypercarry DPS

As any other DPS, a Hypercarry DPS needs the following in their team: Support – Support – Sustain. Ashveil is especially fragile, so sustain is extremely important to ensure he survives in the battle.

There are quite a few FuA Main DPS, but the one that has the best synergy with Ashveil is Feixiao only (for now). Both of them depends on each other to gain more stacks of their own, while attacking the same enemies.
