Linnea Character Guide: Best Weapons, Artifacts, Teams in Genshin Impact

Linnea is the first 5-star Geo character who is using a bow, and she’s REALLY good in both increasing the meta of Lunar-Crystallize and the normal Geo team. She has the Geo RES reduction, provides team-wide healing, and do off-field continuous DMG- which is extremely beneficial for any Sub-DPS. Let’s see how she works and what’s the best build for Linnea in Genshin Impact.

Linnea Kit & Overview

Elemental Skill

There are 2 types of Elemental Skill that can be done by Linnea: Tap and Continuous Tap.

If Linnea uses Tap Elemental Skill, she will summon Lumi in Super Power Form (Level 2), attacking enemies with Geo DMG continuously off-field. In addition, Lumi will also deal Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG if there are Moondrifts nearby.

If Linnea uses Continuous Tap Elemental Skill, she will summon Lumi in Ultimate Power Form (Level 3), dealing an extremely huge instance of Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG, before switching to Standard Power Form (Level 1) to deal Geo DMG continuously off-field.

TLDR: There are three level of Lumi (Linnea’s summon).
Standard Power Form (Level 1)
Super Power Form (Level 2)
Ultimate Power Form (Level 3)

Use Tap Skill to summon Lumi in Level 2 to deal continuous off-field Geo and Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.
Use Continuous Tap Skill to summon Lumi in Level 3 to deal huge instance of Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG, before switching to Level 1 to deal continuous off-field Geo DMG.

Elemental Burst

Linnea’s Burst is extremely simple and it heals all party members on activation, then continously heal nearby active party members based on Linnea’s DEF. In addition, the Burst will also refresh the duration of Lumi if they’re already on the field. If not, will summon Lumi Level 2.
That’s all. Literally. There is no damage here and just pure healing.
In other words, you don’t want to use her Burst unless you need the healing or i-frame.

TLDR: Using Burst will heal the whole party, gain continuous healing, and refresh Lumi’s duration (or summon a Level 2 Lumi if it’s not on the field).

Ascension Talent #1 Field Observation Notes

When Lumi is on the field (summoned via Skill or Burst), the Geo RES of opponents near Lumi will decrease by 15%.
If the team has Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam, the Geo RES of opponents will be further decreased by 15%.

TLDR: When Lumi is on the field, enemies Geo RES will be reduced by 15%. If team has Ascendant Gleam, the Geo RES will be further reduced by 15% (total of 30% Geo RES).

Linnea will increase the Elemental Mastery of certain characters in your party according to your current active character (based on 5% of Linnea’s DEF). If your current active character:

Is a Moonsign character: Increase this character’s EM

Linnea Best Weapon (Bow)

While this effect is active, if there are Moondrifts near the equipping character, all other nearby party members will gain the Frost Fae’s Mischief effect: Geo DMG dealt increases by 20~40% and Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG increases by 20~40%. This effect can be triggered even when the equipping character is off-field.
	Aqua Simulacra (CRIT DMG \| 88.2%)	HP is increased by 16~32%. When there are opponents nearby, the DMG dealt by the wielder of this weapon is increased by 20~40%. This will take effect whether the character is on-field or not.
	Elegy for the End (Energy Recharge \| 55.1%)	A part of the “Millennial Movement” that wanders amidst the winds. Increases Elemental Mastery by 60~120. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” effect for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100~200 and increases ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.
	Skyward Harp (CRIT Rate \| 22.1%)	Increases CRIT DMG by 20~40%. Hits have a 60~100% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 125% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4~2s.
	Slingshot (CRIT Rate \| 31.2%)	If a Normal or Charged Attack hits a target within 0.3s of being fired, increases DMG by 36~60%. Otherwise, decreases DMG by 10%.
	Sacrificial Bow (Energy Recharge \| 30.6%)	After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40~80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30~16s. Note: Only suitable in Linnea’s Hypercarry team!

Linnea Best Artifacts

	Husk of Opulent Dreams	2-Piece Set DEF +30% 4-Piece Set A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.

Linnea Synergy & Team Compositions

As mentioned right at the beginning of the guide, Linnea is a useful Sub-DPS for both Lunar-Crystallize team and normal Geo team. Let’s break it down.

Lunar-Crystallize Team

The first team is definitely the new Zibai Premium team, featuring Columbina, Linnea, and Illuga/Gorou. Since Linnea can heal, she is here as Sub-DPS and sustain. Don’t forget about the Geo RES she provides for the enemies! Overall the best team for Linnea and Zibai.
Of course, you can swap Columbina for Aino. And between Illuga and Gorou, choose the one with the highest constellations.

This team also a Lunar-Crystallize team, but the DPS is not Geo, but Neuvillette. Yes, another team for Neuvillette. It’s definitely not the best team for him, but still a decent one!

Geo Team

Since Linnea provides Geo RES, this made her suits for normal Geo DPS. However, she needs to have another Nod-Krai character to provides full 30% Geo RES instead of 15%.

Lunar-Charged / Lunar-Bloom Team

One of Linnea’s Ascension Talent increase the certain character’s EM based on Linnea’s DEF. If the active character is a Nod-Krai character, she will increase those character’s EM (plus to be the sustain in the team). In other words, she is mildly suitable for the Lunar-Charged and Lunar-Bloom team. However, I do not recommend pulling Linnea just because you want to put her in these teams.

Hypercarry Team

Linnea is a Sub-DPS, but she can be a full-fledged DPS in a Hypercarry team. With the help of Columbina, Illuga, and Gorou, her nuke damage (from Continuous Tap Skill), will deal an absurd amount of damage. Combined with Sacrificial Bow, you can do these nuke damage twice in a rotation!

Linnea Talent Priority

Skill > Burst

Linnea’s bread and butter is her Skill where she summons Lumi for nuke damage or off-field continuous damage. And if you need healing, use her Burst. Normal ATK is absolutely not needed.

Linnea Constellation Overview

Best Constellations: C2, C4 & C6
C0 is enough for Linnea as she’s fully functioning with a Nod-Krai character in the team

Constellation 1	When unleashing Elemental Skill Countermeasure: Lumi’s Battle Cry!, or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Linnea gains 6 stacks of the Field Catalog effect for 10s. Max 18 stacks. When nearby party members deal Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG, consume 1 stack of Field Catalog to increase the DMG dealt. The increase in DMG is equal to 75% of Linnea’s DEF. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, Linnea can consume up to 5 stacks of Field Catalog. Each stack will increase the DMG dealt by 150% of Linnea’s DEF.
Constellation 2 ★	Within 8s after triggering Moondrift Harmony, all Hydro and Geo party members have their CRIT DMG increased by 40%. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, the CRIT DMG of that attack increases by an additional 150%. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: When Lumi uses Heavy Overdrive Hammer in her Super Power Form, or when she uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, an instance of Moondrift Harmony will be triggered. For this instance of Moondrift Harmony, all Hydro and Geo characters in the party will be considered to have applied their Elements in the reaction.
Constellation 3	Increases the Level of Countermeasure: Lumi’s Battle Cry! by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Constellation 4 ★	Within 5s after Moondrift Harmony is triggered, increase the DEF of Linnea and your current active character by 25% respectively. When Linnea is on field, the DEF-increasing effect can be stacked.
Constellation 5	Elemental Burst Memo: Survival Guide in Extreme Conditions increases by 3 Levels. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Constellation 6 ★	The effects of the Constellation, Provisional Classification, are enhanced: When unleashing Elemental Skill Countermeasure: Lumi’s Battle Cry!, or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Linnea will directly gain the maximum number of Field Catalog stacks. When consuming Field Catalog, consume twice the original number of stacks, such that the increase in DMG will be boosted to 150% of the original value. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG dealt by nearby party members is elevated by 25%.
